Parent Connection Nights
SHiNE Centre 6531 – 111 Street
7pm - 10pm
(this is an adult evening, no children please)
November 25, 2009 / January 27th, 2010 / March 25th, 2010 / May 27th, 2010
After last year's overwhelming success of Parent Connection Nights at SHiNE, we have decided to bring them back for a third year!
Parent Connection Nights are our quarterly, evening, adult meetings at the SHiNE Centre - a combination Chat Night / Open House. This evening is for all homeschoolers, beginners as well as the more seasoned! It will be a great gathering place for people who are exploring the idea of homeschooling to learn more about SHiNE, register as members, and meet some people who are already well on their homeschooling journey. And for those of us who have been at it for a while, this is your chance to have a night with other homeschooling parents to talk about the issues that have come up for you as well as a great time to give back to the community and answer questions for those who are just starting out.
To add to the evening, the library will be open for SHiNE members to check out books and resources. There will also be an opportunity to get help signing on to the forum and forum tours for those of you who are not quite sure how to get around in it yet.
Tea and a light snack will be provided. Everyone is welcome to drop by for friendly homeschool support and encouragement!
We look forward to seeing you!
NOTE: these are different from the monthly coffee nights at SHiNE as Parent Connection Nights are designed to focus on homeschooling and providing homeschooling support.
